I spent 11 years in the fire service, starting as a junior firefighter in rural Virginia in 2003 and becoming an instructor in 2005. From 2008-2014 I was in the leadership of our county's special operations group, before ultimately leaving the fire service when I moved to North Carolina in 2015 to work for Turner Construction. While in college at Virginia Tech, I worked as a ceramic tile installer and crew leader. After college I worked for two years as a fire alarm technician before going to work full time for SPEC Rescue in 2013. While with SPEC Rescue, I assisted with logistics for regional and national level disaster training exercises, and also taught technical rescue and OSHA classes for local fire departments and industry. In 2015, I moved to Charlotte, NC to work for Turner Construction in the Special Projects Division. Starting out as a field engineer/assistant superintendent, I began running my own projects as a superintendent in summer of 2015, earning the title of superintendent in fall of 2016. In early 2021, I made the move over to project management side of construction. With a background in safety and team based environments, I strive to run a safe project that builds and fosters a team atmosphere, working collaboratively and safely, to deliver quality projects on time and on budget. While in Charlotte, I have continued to serve the community through charitable outreach. I have captained our office's 24 Hours of Booty team since 2016. In 2018 our team raised over $14,000 for the 24 Foundation. That money that goes to cancer survivorship and navigation programs in the local Charlotte community. Ut Prosim; Go Hokies!
