I grew up in Hong Kong where I completed my A Levels, I returned to South Africa where I attained a Bachelor of commerce degree in Economics and minoring in finance.I returned to Hong Kong to work as a treasury analyst for the commodity giant, Noble Group. This position taught me a lot about how a multinational corporation works and the importance of every aspect of a business. In this role I was responsible for subsidiary funding for the APAC region and all forex trades, swaps and derivative contracts pertaining to those subsidiaries. Bank guarantees and liquidity management as well as bank account management and back office treasury functions. In April 2016 I returned to South Africa to take a job at a hedge fund, AG capital. In this position I learnt a great deal about the skills required to be a successful trader (discipline, risk management and being a contributing member of a team), fundamental and technical analysis. This role focused on the Johannesburg stock exchange predominantly however global market analysis was always a top priority. I gained experience using various trading platforms as well as a Bloomberg terminal. In May 2018 I joined Multibank FX as a forex trader where I gained experience in macro analysis as well as technical analysis. This role required a large amount of reporting responsibilities to top level management regarding the trading desk performance. Within three months of starting this position I was promoted to shift manager where I reported directly to the head of trading and the CEO.
