Responsible for all 16 PLZ plants across North America and Canada, driving strategic deployment of maintenance best practice. Deployment of AM/PM methodology and strategic implementation and design of CMMS programs.

Interim plant manager, lead all functions for the largest site at PLZ Corp while we searched for a permanent placement. While in role, set new plant metric records in OEE, production, safety and maintenance downtime.

Supervise and lead all maintenance processes and operations.Track expenses and oversee the budget for maintenance.Maintain all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.Create and implement maintenance procedures.Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.Plan and manage all repair and installation activities.Ensure all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates.Document and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs.Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.

• Provide technical expertise, equipment-based or repair technique based, which impacts availability and maintainability of facility (e.g., troubleshooting equipment problems, evaluating equipment design relative to its intended purpose) • Directs the analysis of mechanical and operational problems • Plan, organize, coordinate and oversee day to day maintenance and facility activities to assure the proper and efficient maintenance and repair of production and facilities • Assist in the hiring of candidates for welding, pipefitting, painting, insulating, electrical and general maintenance • Train and direct workers engaged in welding, pipefitting, painting, and general industrial maintenance tasks • Develop and prepare work schedules for crew and maintain coverage for plant operations 24/7 • Assist in staffing activities for department; evaluate employee performance and recommend wage adjustments or change of status; initiate plans to motivate workers to achieve goals • Create, implement and maintain preventative maintenance program of production including inspection of plant equipment • Oversee maintenance software for PMs, inventory replenishing, etc. for internal and audit purposes • Prioritize repairs and assignments daily that it relates to production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment; establish and adjust work procedures to meet production schedules • Analyze and resolve work problems; assist workers in solving problems • Perform general plant maintenance (corrective and preventive tasks) • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards; ensure repair documentation is maintained • Assist with facility maintenance • Lead maintenance team to observe all safety programs • Monthly team meetings • Represents the company’s position and interest in dealing with outside contractors, vendors

Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes.• Design and direct personnel in fabrication of control apparatus and equipment, and determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products such as generators, transformers, control devices, motors, conveyors, power distribution, and safety systems.• Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for industrial uses, including motors and conveyance systems; lead activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operation conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.• Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems in field installations utilizing computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.• Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Lead a single or group of Engineers, Designers and Technicians.• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in the results, and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes..• Create program projects, modify, debug PLC software, and understand the various communication networks used.• Served as the primary electrical resource for the installation and start-up of the assignment.• Collaborate with the estimation department to create and execute project estimations.• Work with project management to create manning schedules for assignments.• Use Isometric drawings to design and create a bill of material for electrical, gas, and fluid heat trace.

Assists In operations by maintaining all electrical equipment• Install, maintain and troubleshoot medium voltage (120-480 VAC) systems, generators, distribution, breakers, conduits, cables, motor starters and transformers• Troubleshoot and repair Low Voltage (12v to 48v) systems• Read technical documentation including Piping & Instrument Diagrams, loop drawings, wiring schematics, and specifications• Maintain and repair general production platform equipment such as galley equipment, communication systems, fire and gas systems, and platform lighting

Installs, maintains, and repairs energized and de-energized electrical distribution systems and components. Installs, maintains, and repairs interior, exterior, overhead, underground electrical power distribution systems and components such as capacitor banks, vacuum and air break switches, breakers, transformers, fuses, lighting fixtures, receptacles, and motors. Climbs utility poles and operates special purpose vehicles and equipment, including line maintenance and high reach trucks to inspect, maintain, and repair overhead distribution systems.Inspects powerline poles for pest damage, deterioration, and loose hardware. Inspects, tests, and services overhead line conductors and direct buried cables, and those in underground ducts and conduits. Troubleshoots malfunctions using technical orders, manufacturers' handbooks, local procedures, codes, and directives. Tests air samples in manholes for dangerous concentrations of combustible or toxic gases and oxygen deficiency.Maintains, inspects, and repairs special purpose electrical systems. Inspects, maintains, and repairs fixed and portable airfield lighting systems including runway, threshold, approach, taxiway, visual glide slope, obstruction, and distance marker lights. Installs, maintains, and repairs cathodic protection and grounding systems, and voltage and current regulators. Installs, maintains, and repairs fire alarms and intrusion detection alarms, and traffic system controls. Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical appliances.
