A native of Dallas, Texas, Blake Cecil's career includes over 26 years of experience as a Wealth Management Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He serves as Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor of Cecil, Blumoff & Associates Wealth Management (CB&A), a Merrill team committed to total wealth management and individualized investing and planning strategies. A third-generation Merrill advisor, Blake's "official" experience at the Firm is a natural outgrowth of the years he spent listening to – and learning from – his father and grandfather. Blake leads CB&A's fixed income and goals based planning services. Having pursued advanced educational and developmental opportunities since joining the firm in 1997, Blake demonstrated his deep understanding of the complexities of the changing financial climate by earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2007. After spending two years at the U.S. Naval Academy where he also played football, Blake graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU). Blake, his wife Melinda, and their three sons are fitness enthusiasts; and in addition, Blake enjoys coaching his sons' sports teams. To "relax," he volunteers at SMU, where he serves on the executive committee of the Mustang Club. He also serves as an usher at Highland Park Presbyterian Church where he and his family are members. He is a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas, and a board member of the Tolson Group Ministries.
