I have a passion for sustainability and natural resource conservation, field work, and research, and have served in multiple NPS internships. I recently earned my Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.) certificate (May 2022) from the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.I spent six years compiling and analyzing data, conducting research, and writing technical reports for scientific projects. This work has included six presentations at scientific conferences. My field experience includes work with GPS devices, ArcGIS Collector, topographic maps, Brunton compasses, mapping geological outcrops, lithological descriptions, fossil site surveys, and some biological surveys. I am proficient with ArcGIS and have intermediate experience with R software, having spent 4.5 years analyzing, mapping, and interpolating data, generating figures, conduct raster calculations, and assess geologic hazard risk. I also have introductory knowledge of hydrogeology and groundwater flow calculations from a hydrogeology course.I am actively reviewing environmental regulations, compliance, and sampling practices (e.g., NEPA, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and CERCLA). I also have 4.5 years of experience engaging the public in scientific education and outreach and two years as a graduate teaching assistant for geology laboratory courses.
