I am an ambitious 22-year-old male, currently employed by PackCentre Western Australia. I graduated from Willetton Senior High School in 2020 with a certificate III & IV in business, and went straight into the warehousing industry. I spent 15 months at Metcash employed as a pick-packer, operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ), and picking, packing, and assorting orders for Coles stores throughout Australia. In 2022, I then moved on to work within Sigma Pharmaceuticals, as a part of a small team for Central Health Services (CHS) where I learnt a plethora of skills, and obtained my LF license, enabling me to operate machines such as forklifts and high reach machinery. I spent most of my time here operating within Inwards Goods/Receivals, where I performed cycle counts, wrote-up and adjusted stock discrepancies, managed stock in-sync with their required temperatures and safety procedures, created and communicated damage claims, and received the stock through two different systems (SAP & Microsoft Dynamics). Along with processing stock through these systems, I also attained experience for inventory control, product identification & location, along with becoming familiar with RF scanners under the SAP system. In my time here, I obtained and familiarised myself with a number of useful skills and practices that I have taken forward in my career. I also believe that I cemented a … attitude and understanding for the workforce, and what it means to be consistent, capable, and thorough with whatever work that I may do in the future. After 18 months at Sigma Pharmaceuticals, I went straight into a new role at PackCentre in the very beginning of 2024, where i currently reside as a full-time employee, working around 40+ hours each week. I work amongst 5 work colleagues who are a great motivation to me, and provide extensive knowledge and opportunity for me every day. My role at PackCentre is flexible, including operating machinery such as forklifts, high reaches, and a double dip high-reach to pick orders for clients, safely pack and prepare orders, dispatching them, loading & unloading trucks, and receiving & disposing stock.I haven’t yet figured out what my dream job will look like, but I am confident in my journey and place large amounts of effort into self-discovery, education, and general betterment of self, in order to provide myself with the best chance at the opportunities that are most valuable to myself. I am excited to see what is ahead of me, and continue to give constant improvement my best effort amidst such an unknown position of my journey.
