In my 35 years of experience in the field of correctional management, I have had the opportunity to lead people in both the private and public sectors of the industry. I have served as warden at three large federal prisons to include leading our country's most secure facility, housing the nations most violent offenders, the United States Penitentiary, Administrative Maximum, Florence, Colorado. I retired from the Department of Justice after 25 years and nearly five years at the Senior Executive Service level having worked at over a dozen facilities. In my final assignment as Assistant Director of the largest correctional system in the United States, I oversaw inmate security operations, case management initiatives, reentry and community operations, inmate transportation (JPATS), federal privatization contracts, and a multitude of correctional programs.In my most recent position as President of GEO Secure Services, the largest government services provider in the United States, I oversaw U.S. and International Operations supporting over 17,000 professionals, 65 secure correctional facilities and nearly 75,000 beds. My team was the largest service provider to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the U.S. Marshals Service. We also provided service to nine state correctional and county jurisdictions. My leadership role also included oversight of operations in Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. My team's primary goal was sustaining "operational excellence" daily for the world's leading private provider of correctional, detention, and community reentry services.
