Responsible for the UNLV Alumni Association’s overall membership program serving over 100,000 alumni and friends.• Membership Campaign Management• Affinity Partnerships & Benefits Program Management• Regional Club Program Management • Special Events and Programs Management • Fundraising and Sponsorship Program Management

Served as adviser and confidant to the VP of Student Life during a time of heightened activity. Interfaced with key areas: admissions, CAEO, housing, student activities, career services and university police. Interfaced extensively with Board of Regents. Concurrently served as Director of Communications. Student Union and Student Recreation & Wellness Center Project• Key decision maker for a new $95 million Student Union and Student Recreation & Wellness Center. • Served on a six-person steering committee for the projects that ensured goals were met. Led research, oversaw development of design, policies & procedures. • Engaged students and rallied their buy-in for the projects. Achieved unanimous support. • Planned and led the implementation of significant, high visibility events including groundbreaking and dedication ceremonies for the campus and community. Budget: $150,000. Director for Student Life Communications• Identified a pent-up demand for a centralized, comprehensive communications unit. Created department; justified need and hired a team. • Introduced the concept of ‘in house ad agency’. Built the organization. Conducted a needs assessment with prospective internal clients: housing, orientation, CAEO, administration, campus life, admissions and students. • Efforts realized significant financial, time and human resource savings. Established first-ever quality standards benchmarks for communications. Won numerous advertising industry awards including two Pinnacle Awards.• Streamlined processes, identified opportunities for standardization, established style guides, created graphic standards manual and enhanced the photo library. Developed a Student Life Presidential Communications Policy, Web Development and Site Maintenance Policy, and a Strategic Planning Questionnaire. •Served as campus liaison with CNN and Democratic Party in November 2007 during the first-ever Presidential Debate held in Nevada and hosted by UNLV.
