Dr. Dowell received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University in 2009 and started practicing in the Chicagoland area. For over a decade, he has been committed to providing full-scope, high quality and professional eye care. Dr. Dowell takes a preventative & proactive approach that focuses on customizing visual solutions that improve & preserve the health and vitality of each individual patient. His professional interests include the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, myopia control management, fitting specialty contact lenses, and pre and post-surgical care. Dr. Dowell is also interested in medical education content, resources and research supporting whole food plant-based nutrition and new emerging technologies that expand accessibility and sustainable practices toward eye health equity.
