Project Engineer• Reviewing the scope of all contract works detailed to them. • Reviewing and actioning any amendments to the original scope of work from any source.• Controlling the manufacture, production and installation of all contract works detailed to him, by means of purchase orders, sub-contract orders, quality plans, safety plans, programmes, schedules method statements (safe systems of work), environmental impacts, risk assessments, inspection checklists and the like to ensure compliance to Client's specification and the Company Systems.• Provision of the appropriate programmes (schedules), bar charts or control lists, and continually monitoring same.• Ensuring compliance with all company system documentation and recommend amendments to documentation to the relevant Manager (QA, SH & E).• Directing the Technical Staff. • Seeking Client approval of any proposed deviation from contract by raising the appropriate paperwork.Specific to SH & E:• Ensure that site activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the Health and Safety Plan.• Assist the Project Manager in assessing designs appertaining to his site.• Assist in the identification of significant hazards and the preparation of suitable and sufficient Risk and COSHH Assessments and Method Statements when required to do so.• Ensure that persons working under their control are not exposed to hazardous situations and that the safe systems of work are being implemented• Identify environmental aspects and impacts in their respective departments.
