I help copy-edit blogs covering film, television, pop music, Hollywood industry news, celebrity news, fashion and sports. Slotted the Hero Complex and Image/Travel magazines. Worked on L.A. On top of my full-time copy desk duties, I helped cover comic books and television for The Times' Hero Complex website, writing about 160 stories including trend pieces, profiles and Q&As with major industry talents, previews of upcoming releases and more. Ten of those stories also went into the Times' print edition, including cover stories for the Calendar and Business sections. I extensively covered conventions including WonderCon, Comic-Con International and New York Comic Con -- from developing coverage plans to reporting from panels and conducting interviews. I also covered awards shows such as the Eisners and Saturns solo, and helped fill in for the editor when she was out. I assisted on HC's Facebook and Twitter profiles and also promoted stories on Google Plus and other platforms. In the summer of 2013, I recapped AMC's "The Killing" for The Times' Show Tracker blog.

Spent first two years in the late Los Angeles Times-Washington Post News Service trimming stories for wire clients before moving to the paper's features desk.
