Provide proactive leadership, strategic direction, and technical support to the operations of the facility in the areas of preventive/predictive maintenance, process engineering, technology modernization, automation, process improvement, and cost improvement. Oversee the installation and maintenance of a 230,000sqft and a 80,000sqft manufacturing facility. Manage all capital projects from start to close. Responsible for all budgeting for facilities, engineering and maintenance. Manage all variable and capital expenses for the facility and update our forecasting plan each quarter to ensure profitability within our facility and to provide a positive contribution to the operating income of our company. Ensure 100% compliance to all governmental agencies and our facility being a highly protected risk facility. Implement standardized preventive and predictive maintenance system (utilizing TPM, Lean, Six Sigma doctrine). Design and implement “best practice” quick change procedures, processes and equipment modifications (SMED). Design and cause process and equipment safety modifications . Teach, coach, develop, and effectively deploy all subordinate and connection personnel. Perpetuate continuous reduction in waste, downtime, setup/make ready, and cost. Troubleshoot process and operations problems utilizing structured problem solving techniques which reveal the root cause of the problem. Drive process improvement and problem solving through Lean / Six Sigma principles and root cause analysis. Assess and evaluate facility maintenance personnel and provide strategies to remedy training, skills, or performance deficiencies. Provide direction, assistance, and resources necessary to inventory, organize and control MRO spares. Effectively utilize CMMS to drive preventive and predictive maintenance activities. This will include tracking and analysis of work order performance, development of detailed PM tasks and schedules, and analysis of breakdowns and failures.

Knowledge and use of improvement and coaching KATA to continuously improve. Analyze jobs and machines to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost using lean methods. Overhaul machines and work stations to improve ergonomics and first pass flow. Audit and revise SWI’s and SOP's to increase efficiency and utilization. Facilitate training of 5S, TPM, STW, Kaizen etc… Facilitator and captain of numerous kaizen activities and projects including multiple Masco Grand Kaizens.

Ability to operator all machines in our milling department such as sheet stock laminator, rip saws, dado machines, drills, CNC point to point machines, table saws, etc. Working with machine setup/teardown, tooling changes, TPM, engineering improvements etc. Write programs on all automated equipment for efficiency, material yield, NPD etc. Work with maintenance and engineering to change processes and procedures to make work stations safer and more efficient. Work on numerous traditional kaizen events, TPM events, SMED events, 5S/Safety events etc.

Assist journeyman plumbers in installation of plumbing for both commercial and residential construction. Jobs consisted of laying out ground works, installing ground work plumbing, rough ins, and fixture install. Setup all jobs on air test to pass inspections. Also, includes repairs and upgrades to existing plumbing.

My training role was supervisor over the molding department. Supervised the entire 3rd shift. Department consisted of 24 plastic injection molding presses that were ran by 10 employees. Directly supervised those 10 employees and indirectly supervised 20+ other employees in maintenance, finishing, distribution, assembly and shipping. I scheduled all of the work for the shift based on the SLMS system. Learned, coached and implemented lean manufacturing from Toyota Manufacturing Company. Took extensive training to learn Kaizen, Lean manufacturing, SLMS, Kata, TPM, and many other CI tools.

Assist engineering and jobsite foreman with the bidding, plans/drawings, crewing, material purchasing etc. Worked directly with the constructions crews, sub contractors, foremen and engineers on jobsites. Designed and managed construction projects from start to finish.
