Led design and managed resources across a number of large projects:- Messari's project pages, which provide users with the industry's most comprehensive coverage of projects like Ethereum, Uniswap and Coinbase. Our project pages aggregate market data, original longform research, and on-chain governance and protocol metrics into a clear, easy-to-navigate feature pages.- Messari Charts: led design and a small design team to design and grow the UX behind the company's in-house data visualization suite and charting engine.

Founding designer for the 3-year old company. Led design on a wide range of projects, helped hire and build the design team to 5 people and helped build the company's design system from scratch.Individual projects include:- Messari's design system: first building existing site elements, colors and tokens into Figma components, then working with designers we hired to improve them.- Messari Screener: a complex financial tool that allows clients to create complex filters and novel metrics to explore assets, investors, deals and funding rounds.

Contributed to Status's Design System and redesigned the app's settings and user profile pages.- To redesign settings, it was important to audit the app's IA and interview users to understand how they associate and mentally group the product's feature set. The final design grouped settings under tabs that more closely resembled common use cases -- Wallet, Profile, Chat, and so on.- To redesign user profiles, it was necessary to dive deep and understand the privacy concerns that our users had. This informed our decisions around visibility settings we made available to users, and what settings to provide by default.- On the design system, I groomed old components and introduced new ones as I worked, improving upon basic UI elements and adapting my design ideas to existing components.

Taught a graduate course on "Designing News Products"- Introduced the principles of human-centered design to journalism students.- Wrote and taught a curriculum teaching them the basics of Figma -- how to use it, how to prototype, and how to prepare mock ups for presentations and user testing.- Ran in-class user testing sessions for students to try and critique each other's designs- Worked with students to create an end-of-semester project wherein they each took on roles resembling those in a modern tech company and newsroom: some were PMs, others were designers and engineers.
