I’m a data science leader and applied mathematics PhD that designs and operationalizes, mathematical data mining and AI techniques, to solve challenging problems. I use a range of techniques from numerical linear algebra to deep learning to extract knowledge from massive unstructured data sets to create impact with insight. As a senior data scientist and researcher, I've worked on big data in multiple ways, and my work has been supported by an 800K NSF Big Data grant to forward research both on the uses of big data analysis and on treatments for Lyme disease. I have been managing research and industrial teams, leading over 100 team projects from conceptualizing through planning and optimizing goals to successful delivery to customers. Applications have ranged from NLP topic modeling and NL Understanding, to automated medical image analysis, to derived KPIs like customer satisfaction and lifetime value, to crime detection, to finding hidden social networks in a text corpus.
