My professional experience and education highlight two important things about me: my equal love for research and facilitating learning. As a qualitative research professional, I specialize in executing qualitative market research projects for clients in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. With over 10 years of experience in conducting human-centered research with diverse populations, I have a strong methodological toolkit that includes in-depth interviews (IDIs), focus groups, photo voice and photo elicitation, ethnography, and surveys. I am passionate about learning new methodologies and techniques for gathering insights to better help clients solve their most pressing problems.And as a former college instructor, I love utilizing my teaching, facilitation, and public speaking skills outside of the classroom. I frequently host internal and external presentations on a variety of topics. My core strength is distilling complex information to a wide variety of audiences. I earned a PhD in sociology from North Carolina State University, where I examined how preadolescent children experience, understand, and conceptualize health, body image, and stigma, using multiple qualitative methods. I completed my dissertation in 2021 and I received recognition for excellence in classroom teaching throughout my time in academia.
