In my Junior year in high school, I took up a part-time position at Co-Mo Connect, working as a tech support representative for their Fiber Optic Services. Many of the responsibilities I had included, taking incoming calls and cases, dealing with situations that our subscribers have encountered, creating service orders and contacting Fiber and Installation Technicians, and creating and troubleshooting services for our Customers. Throughout this job, I had encountered many situations where the solution was not simply in our tech support notes or something we were trained on, it was a job where you were constantly learning and adapting to situations as not every subscriber calling would have the same issue, nor would they be knowledgeable about technology, as well as our company itself would be evolving. Being computer literate, as well as having knowledge about networking was key in being able to help subscribers in a reasonable amount of time with good service. I would leave Co-Mo Connect in July of 2021 with good standing with the company as I graduated high school and was moving on to university.
