As a lead engineer in the transmission department, I am responsible for the design and analysis of high voltage power lines up to 345kV. As the project technical lead, I am responsible for the engineering decisions, leading the design work, and stamping the design documents. The transmission line projects I work on require me to come up with solutions to complex challenges including rough terrain, poor soil conditions, environmental requirements, required clearances to obstacles and other power lines, and field issues or changes during construction.
