My name is Blake Opial, and graduated from Louisiana State University in the Spring of 2023. I obtained a Bachelor's in Computer Science - Cyber Security and finished with a GPA of 3.55 overall. Throughout my time in university, I constantly strived to produce high-quality work and learn as many aspects of my field of study as I could.During my time at LSU, I pursued a Cyber Security degree and developed a strong understanding of popular malware/attacks, and the means to prevent them. I thrived in collaborative projects where I got to hone my skills in Reverse Engineering complex viruses and designing a biometric authorization system. My passion for Cyber Security really got ignited during my Sophomore year after we were exposed to the curriculum for the first time. Through continuous projects of replicating key encryption algorithms, designing safe databases, and attempting to exploit errors within programs.Ever since then, it's been less about what I do know, but more on what I don't. The knowledge I gained from LSU was useful and exciting, but now I'm ready for more. I'm eager to continue learning and adapting within the field of Cyber Security. The ever expanding Tech industry was always an interest to me growing up and I'm thrilled to finally be apart of it.Past my technical skills, I am quite adaptable to new situations and an effective communicator when it comes to projects. No matter where I work, I'm a quick learner and thrive in environments that encourage, collaboration, ingenuity, and continuous improvement. As a recent graduate, I'm eager to connect with as many professionals within the Cyber Security and Tech industry as I can! I'm very much open to any opportunities that can lead to me gaining valuable insight from mentors and peers. Overall, I'm ready to tackle new challenges while also growing professionally.
