I worked for JBL Communications as one of the Project Managers overseeing Fiber To The Cell-Site back bone projects in Charlotte, NC and its surrounding cities. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: verifying/submitting invoices and other billing, weekly collaboration with third-party Field Engineers and client management, submittal of redlines and substantial completion documents, daily management of hired contractors, customer care, meetings with city officials permitting the construction of the project, quality assurance/quality control of work submitted by the hired contractors, scheduling material deliveries, scheduling contractors to complete permitted work, enforcing safety regulations on the job-sites, and daily collaboration with the company team to discuss project deadlines and quarterly goals.

I began with Bechtel as an OSP Field Engineer for the Google Fiber market in Charlotte, NC. While in this role I managed contractors and superintendents to ensure the customers market build was completed in a timely fashion, and met all CDOT, NCDOT, and client requirements. I also did the fielding for many of my job locations using a GIS based system, which I also used for re-designs and submission of completed work. I later transitioned into my current role as a QA/QC Field Manager; where I coordinate a team of five Quality Inspectors. I am responsible for organizing and preparing work packages; communicating with Field Engineers and site Superintendents to learn of redesigns that were made to the work packages, and to ensure safety regulations are being followed by all personal on the job site. In addition, I coordinate with the Project Quality Management to determine how to improve the quality team’s overall work ethic, as well as how to improve the quality of the project specifications.• Coordinate and lead team of Quality inspectors in the field• Trained new personnel on scope of work and daily responsibilities for project processes• Daily collaboration with Field Engineers and Superintendents for quality inspections of LCPs• Daily reports on status to Project Quality Manager• Supervised contractors for Punch list remediation close outs• High level of detail in the documentation of construction quality inspection deficiencies• Completion of redlines for change submittals to the client

When I was first hired on with this company I led a team as a Directional Drill Operator on the Google Fiber Project in Kansas City. While in this role, I also inspected the conduit for flaws obstructing fiber from being pulled, and repaired non-compliant issues. I was later promoted to a Validation Supervisor, where I coordinated a team of eight to complete pre/post construction inspections with the involved third-party, Icon Engineering. In addition, I ensured safety regulations were being followed, managed contractor billing, and worked directly with the contractors for the close out & completion of the work packages provided by the client.

When I began this job, I apprenticed for six months to learn the process of operating a directional drill. I spent the remainder of my time spotting utilities, setting vaults in the ground, and operating a directional drill learning all of the basic knowledge of underground construction.
