As Stock Controller my primary responsibility is to ensure all stock movement is in a timely and accurate fashion. This needs to be balanced against use of limited excess stock storage. In my time thus far i have successfully reduced excess SOH by approximately $100k without causing undue out of stock situations at the retail level. Additionally I maintain an extensive computerised database of all current and historic stock on hand, manage all vendors and vendor contract delivery to ensure current deal structures and agreed upon contract terms are being met. Meanwhile I also ensure that I remaining flexible enough to adjust to any changes in demand or supply issues that might arise. Finally I also take on the role, in part, of BDM for the business by alerting Management to any opportunity I can see that might be of benefit to the long term success of the business.

Following on from my success with their Subway franchise I was picked as the Store/Warehouse Manager for Dovell Investments newest startup venture, Peppertown Gold Coast. The role called for high levels of communication skills as our clientele was often from the high level corporate world. This role also demanded a large focus on the control of inventory and the ability to minimise incoming expense while maximising the GP$ on the outgoing stock. Primarily a sales and customer service driven role, this role further built my abilities as a Purchasing Officer and contracts administrator for small business.

I was brought on board this small business venture after achieving success in my role as Team Leader for Dovell Investment's network of Caltex Franchises to ensure that the HR and local advertising needs for this start up business were met and to ensure it's smooth transition to the new store manager at the completion of my work on this site. After managing it's successes and set backs for a period of 12 months, during which time I undertook all the duties you would expect of a busy food outlet, including but not limited to setting rosters and wage budgets, managing food costings, analysing stock turns and reporting all daily, weekly and monthly sales and expense reports to the General Manager. I was then selected by the General Manager for Dovell Investments to assist with their next project.
