• Designed controls and provided mechanical system expertise in design, construction, and operation phases in support of 56 colocation data centers including U.S., Canadian, and UK facilities.• Collaborated across teams to evaluate and strengthen global processes improving system operations, focusing on:> Project management, SOO validation, and commissioning support.> Environmental temperature and humidity monitoring and controls, branch circuit monitoring and reporting, and chiller plant controls• Developed individual scopes for each project site, submitted bid requests to vendors and approved bids.• Wrote validation scripts for sensor installation, and traveled to large installations to supervise operations, installation details, and validations, deploying approximately 20,000 sensors at 46 sites. • Transformed unreliable, undocumented, and outdated PLC controls of a 2,500-ton chilled water plant serving 6MW data center floor despite an outdated sequence of operation and reliable documents:> Reviewed existing controls and plant configurations, drove vendor selection, developed as-builts for new SOO, and selected new PLC controls and integration.> Worked with third party support in all phases of construction and commissioning, providing a fully documented and reliable, well-commissioned system.• Directed controls engineering for branch circuit monitoring integration initiative at all portfolio sites to provide a scalable, comprehensive integration of raw Modbus RTU circuit data into Modbus TCP/IP.> Researched, selected, and validated Moxa MB 3660 gateways and primary integration device, developed layout drawings, installation specifications, and provided on-site support and troubleshooting.> Assisted in validation of Logic WebCTRL ad Schneider DCIM tool and completed project integrations, resulting in near real-time monitoring and kWH recording of over 175000 individual branch circuits.
