Works with business users and other stake holders to design and implement cloud first solutions that improves the experience of our finical service partners. The majority of solutions are deployed to Amazon Web Services and feature fully automated deployments via Azure Dev Ops. At Symetra the solutions engineers own the full deployment process and architect out their own CICD processes. This includes but is not limited to CloudFormation deployments, canaries, artifact storage, unit testing, change management logging and application security scanning.Working primarily in Python/Typescript I am the engineer chiefly responsible for the SwiftTerm commission engine which processes nightly transactions for our partners selling the SwiftTerm product. Recently I've lifted and shifted this process from lambda to ECS/Fargate to help support the popularity of the SwiftTerm product.
