About Blake Spanjer
Currently, I am a clinical instructor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, serving as lead instructor on 2 entry level courses. I spend the rest of my work-week at the Parkinson's Exercise and Wellness Center working on program evaluation/development and providing consultative services. In spare time, I have obtained a PRN Position at PAM Health as an inpatient rehabilitation OT. I also have experience volunteering at Rose Brooks Center, a domestic violence shelter in KCMO and am involved with many community engagement activities through New City Church. As a hardworking learner and developer, my personal mission is to use my skills to empower people impacted by neurological conditions participate in meaningful daily activities. I hope to equip future OT practitioners to do the same thing with people of all ages and backgrounds. I aim to use my effective communication skills to gain knowledge from those around me as well as competently share my own knowledge.Ask me how occupational therapy can help you or a loved one find a higher quality of living!
