• Plan, implement, and coordinate personnel policies and procedure ensuring compliance with various local, state, and federal employment laws• Oversee administration of the County health insurance program, including reviewing the program annually and making recommendations to County officials• Assist elected officials and county attorney in litigation to prepare documentation for court appearances, periodically appear as representative for County• Oversee administration of worker’s compensation• Assist with other benefit programs such as PERF, COBRA, and retiree insurance• Maintain County job classification system by writing, reviewing, and updating job descriptions, reviewing reclassification requests, directing and coaching compensation meetings, and making recommendations to County Council regarding established job grades and salary increase• Maintain selection process in hiring new County personnel• Conducts exit interviews and completes the necessary forms required• Maintain applicant and employee document files• Assist periodically with personnel unemployment claims• Serve as a mediator regarding employee problem resolution and progressive discipline• Review quarterly and annual payroll and personnel reports such as EEOC, W-2s, BOL, and PERF• Serve as a HIPPA privacy officer, investigating complaints and making recommendations regarding the safekeeping of protected health information• Serve as the ADA (American’s with Disabilities) Coordinator• Assist in the yearly budget process (and any changes made mid-year) with the County Council

• Responsible for benefits administration and assisting employees with inquiries or concerns• Facilitate Driver Benefit Orientation twice a week, Admin Orientation once a month• Assist in yearly Open Enrollment• Responsible for enrolling eligible CDL drivers in Open Road Legal Plan• Compile various weekly census reports and distribute to current vendors• Administer and track FMLA/PLOA for driver and admin employees
