Primary assignment is to maintain the Iraqi Navy OSV (Off Shore Vessels) main propulsion system, power generation system and climate control. Responsible for (4) 3516C Caterpillar main engine, (6) KTA19 Cummins power generators, (2) QSK19-M Common Railed and (2) 6CTA8-3D Cummins Emergency Gen sets. Added to this responsibility is the maintaining of (2) 116 ton Carrier climate control HVAC units for each OSV.

The function of the Diesel Engine Engineer is to provide technical guidance and supervise all resources assigned. In fulfilling this function I reviewed marine product specifications, technical validations EPA, Commissioning, design compliance and other engineering aspects supporting the (JHSV) Joint High Speed Vessel & (LCS) Littoral Combat Ship before and after commissioning. Also worked close with Port Engineers to ensure proper customer service of FMSNA products with the customer. Also assisted the Technical Manager in resolving EPA compliance issues as they arise.

Primary assignment is to interpret military specification and write technical recommendation for modifications to Army Watercraft System (AWS) to included Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) that are submitted to Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM). Other requirements are to travel nationally and internationally to Army vessels and gather information concerning Basic Issue Items (BII), machinery and systems that may require modification of those systems. Inspect ships drawings and to identify Army Watercraft shipboard systems and components to include ship designed drawing, electronics and communications. Serve as system expert onboard Army vessels that have been contracted by CDI Marine by use of Technical Data Repositories (TDR).

Assignments included study and interpret of Integrated Capabilities Documents (ICD) to develop Capabilities Development Document (CDD) for Milestone “B” of a Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) platform. Additional duty continued as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on mechanical systems and subject matter trainer development for training once the system moves into milestone “C” of JCIDS.

Responsible for the development of online training from Government Furnish Information (GFI), to build storyboard formats to be installed onto company customized software that will allow Interactive Media Instruction (IMI) to be use by the customer. Additional knowledge of online courseware is gained from attending Strayer University where 90% of instructional information is online. Developed curriculum using storyboard developmental strategies, acquired training aids to instruct Cater Machinery Internal Truck, Marine, Electro-Power Generation, Industrial Technicians and external customers base training. Instructed complete Engine Rebuild, Electronic/Mechanical Fuel Systems, Electronic Diagnostic and Troubleshooting and Engine Operational Software Programs to customer. Developed Statement of Work (SOW) for training contracts being bided on for both civilian/government training sites. Expertise was used to provide Caterpillar Engine functional systems technical support to be utilized by Service Managers, and Caterpillar Engine customers.• Saved training cost (15K-20K), by finding the most cost efficient reproduction company for reproduction of the following, (handouts, tests, manuals, and power point presentations). • Drove a revenue increase of approximately 117,200.00 for 2007. This was achieved by actively seeking prospects and selling the training to the military, and Government agencies. Examples: (Marine/Rail Division, FT. Eustis, and VDOT Virginia Department of Transportation etc.).
