Which consists of our Mining open pit and underground assets, Crushing and Conveying system, Concentrator, and Tailings support.I work with a very experienced group of Sr. engineers, engineers and control specialists to maintain renoun electrical assets - electric shovels and drills, large crusher and technical conveying system, large sag mills and ball mills, pumps and pipelines, to deep wells. Other work duties consist of large capital project support, electrical reliability tactics, breakdown support, and developing people!

Centralized Energy Group supporting Rio Tinto - Kennecott Utah Copper, Utah operations. (Bingham Canyon Mine, Copperton Concentrator, Smelter, Refinery, and Power Plant) MSHA surface and underground certified. Positional focus is around the maintenance, reliability, troubleshooting, and design of high voltage power systems. 138kv/44kv/13.8kv, etc. Extensive electrical safety involvement for investigative needs, MSHA training refreshers, and site training needs. Power coordination, load flow studies and arc flash analysis using SKM software and design. Involved in substation design as well as power line design. Engineered substation inspections for reliable operation, including transformer oil analysis expert.

*Supervisor to an engineering team of 11 individuals - consisting of electrical control specialists, adviser, hydrocarbon management, oil analysis expert, interns, and mechanical/electrical engineers*Managing team Six Sigma projects driven around mining shovels, blast-hole drills, power systems, and haul trucks*Working with OEM and other Rio Tinto sites for continuous improvement and Alpha/Beta tests *Oversee projects of respected reports as we support other groups throughout the mine *Mine Joint Health and Safety Committee Member– ZERO HARM SAFETY CULTURE *Mine Electrical instructor, developed training content, 2014 MSHA electrical instructor for mining *Rio Tinto C2 Electrical Safety Custodian for the Bingham Canyon Mine *Member of the Society of Tribologistes and Lubrication Engineers *Possess strong personable leadership skills when dealing with teams and other groups of people.

* Supervisor of 4 electrical control specialists*Stand in for mine line crew supervisor on occasion as well as one 4 month role. * Managing Six Sigma Projects driven around mining shovels, blast-hole drills, and power systems. *Provide technical field support and training to electrical craftsmen *Research mine data to drive preventative projects, standard work procedures, and defect elimination * Pit pumping support and limited underground de-watering troubleshooting *Mine Joint Health and Safety Committee Member – ZERO HARM SAFETY CULTURE *Implement/ instruct electrical safety training to mine personnel, and a 2012 MSHA electrical instructor for mining *Develop reports forecasting events and past info (Defect register, PIE software, SKM, SEL Schweitzer, GE Multilin, Siemens drives ) * Member of the Society of Tribologistes and Lubrication Engineers *Possess strong personable skills when dealing with teams and other groups of people

*Preventative Electrical Maintenance on Joy Global/P&H, 4100 and 2800 electric shovels (AC and DC), B&E and 320XPC drills, O&K diesel shovels. *Electrical wiring and DC motor controls, substation trouble-shooting, PLC troubleshooting and programming *700HP AC and DC motor - wiring, megging, maintaining, UPS, *Work in high voltage situations using flash shields and hot sticks.(13.8KV AC to 24V DC) ZERO HARM SAFETY
