My name is Blake Burkle and I am a marketing Major at Miami University. I am currently experimenting with social media marketing this semester and learning how to optimize it to grow my personal brand. I had the opportunity to be a project manager for Student Painters. This involved facilitating good team work to optimize efficiency at each of our job sites. I assisted leading a team of guys during each project to coordinate how the house would be painting and time would be managed.I am working to be a part of a social media marketing team. I currently experimenting with graphic design and learning how to make and design promotional material. Through the business school I have had access to numerous opportunities to help prepare myself for the future in the business world. Specifically, I participated in a client challenge where we were tasked with a client issue that we had to solve and present to them at the end of the semester. I learned numerous skills including teamwork, presenting skills, and basic coding in Sql and Python. My work experience started early on working in a concession stand all throughout middle school and in freshman year of high school. After that, I worked as a lifeguard my junior and senior year. During the summer of my junior year I started a small business painting portraits of peoples pets in my neighbor hood. By starting this small business I was able to connect with a few companies to help me market my business.
