Topics of courses taught include criminal justice foundation classes (Introduction to Policing, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Crime Prevention, etc.) and specialized classes (Criminal Intelligence Analysis, Domestic and International Terrorism, Principles of Investigation, Introduction to Homeland Security, and more).

Duties: Enforce the laws of the State of California and the City of San Diego. Final assignment was at the department’s Traffic Division as a Collision Investigator and Reconstructionist. Primary duties included the investigation of fatal and serious injury traffic collisions, DUI enforcement, and addressing citizen complaints of traffic problems throughout the City of San Diego. Collateral duties as a Field Training Officer with responsibilities of training new officers in collision investigation techniques and aspects of DUI enforcement and arrests. Also served as a Terrorism Liaison Officer and member of the division’s Homeland Security Team with responsibilities of disseminating information relating to international and domestic terrorism and homeland security issues.
