I graduated from UT Austin in 2016 with a background in finance and found myself immediately immersed in the healthcare industry by joining a valuation, consulting and advisory firm specializing in healthcare. Over the course of 7 years, I conducted research projects, analyzed both public and private healthcare companies, developed strategic insights for internal strategy teams at healthcare organizations, and performed valuations on hundreds of entities including ASCs, physician practices, post-acute assets (IRFs, home health, hospice, SNF), hospitals, academic medical centers, and more.I had some great mentors at VMG Health who helped my professional development and piqued my curiosity for strategy, partnerships, and other things happening behind the scenes in healthcare.While working at VMG, I wanted to learn more about other aspects of the healthcare system with a focus on business. I started writing a newsletter - The Healthy Muse - in 2018 which was a side hobby and project to get ahead of the curve and speak to current issues in healthcare affecting operators.Then, in early 2022, my newsletter was acquired by Workweek and rebranded to Hospitalogy. Now I write about the business of healthcare full-time and dive into the latest topics facing healthcare operators across hospitals, payors, providers, digital health, and policy.I'm passionate about challenging myself and am always seeking to learn and grow.
