Distinguishing features of this initiative were: partnership between practitioners and health plan to leverage data and cost analysis to drive change; and addressing methods of behavioral health-primary care integration and improving population health. P-TCPi aimed to improve the health and well-being of the whole child, resulting in healthy children ready to learn, with reduced health disparities and increased access to care for children and families. P-TCPi supported Healthier WA's goals of better care, better outcomes, lower costs, and assisted the DOH in its responsibility under HB 2572 to lead clinical practice transformation support efforts.
