A founding member of the website GameAreEvil.com, numerous roles have been filled, including building the site from a startup to a self sufficient source for gaming news and reviews. Current duties involve writing news, reviews and features, as well as editing all other feature and review content posted on the site. Involved in hosting and producing the site's weekly flagship podcast, The EvilCast Recap.Other important tasks include promoting content through various different social networking sites such as Digg, Facebook, Reddit, and N4G. Lastly, basic Wordpress plug-in coding necessary to account for layout and advertising changes.

Primarily working as a staff reviewer, I reviewed 34 games across a wide variety of platforms, over the span of 10 months.

Acting as a senior member of the writing staff for the website 148Apps.com and their sister site ThePortableGamer.com, the main focus of work revolves around reporting on breaking iOS/iDevice related news, previewing upcoming applications, and reviewing recently released software, both gaming related and otherwise.

Acted as group Microsoft Team Foundation Server Administrator as well as application developer and binary file architect.

As part of a collaborative development team, designed and wrote applications that aided in emergency mass notifications for universities, municipalities, and large organizations. Tasks involved porting Visual Basic 6.0 code to work with C# 2008 and updating the platform to be .Net Framework 3.0 compatible. While working on a solo project, developed an extension to the mass notification platform, allowing messages to be automatically disseminated across several different social networking platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Posterous.

Combed the internet, searching for interesting and relevant gaming news. This content would then be written in a more condensed, entertaining, and opinionated manner, making life easier for the site's visitors.Produced at least three, 250+ word news posts each day, five days a week.

Maintained all of the computer systems for five health centers at different sites throughout Southern Iowa. Provided support in the areas of software, hardware and networking. Performed wire drops for network and phone access. Managed machine and data security, and Active Directory/Group Policy, in an environment that used a centrally managed VPN setup between remote sites. Wrote proprietary software for managing medication inventory using Microsoft SQL Server 2005, C# and LDAP.

Worked at the campus helpdesk doing tasks in regards to internet and application troubleshooting, as well as hardware support and application programming. Also acted as a manager for 3 PC Labs on campus and a Mac Lab. Maintaining both PC and Mac labs involved use of Unix/Linux and Windows protocols. Everything from shell scripting to low level kernel modification was used to provide a unified user experience.
