There is nothing quite so remarkable as seeing a flash of inspiration grow and evolve into an industry. In my past executive positions at Microsoft, Yahoo! and GoDaddy, I've had the privilege of taking great ideas to market many times over. As GoDaddy CEO, I had the opportunity to help millions of others - artists, inventors, and entrepreneurs - make their ideas real, and that was an incredible honor. It seems most of my life's work has been to transform the Web as we know it into an even more powerful resource for communications, connection, and commerce.Today, as an investor, mentor, and board director, I’m helping others in their quest to turn their vision into a growing and thriving enterprise. While I’m no longer an operator, I’m helping a wide variety of companies; from those that are just getting started like Crowdswap and Flowhub, to businesses and brands that have been around for decades like Docusign and Autodesk.When I’m not working, I’m golfing, riding bikes (on the mountain or on the road), surfing, reading and spending time with family and friends. I split most of my time now between California’s Central Coast, Seattle, Punta Mita, Mexico and the Bay Area. I consider living passionately a job requirement and don’t separate work and life into two contrasting initiatives. I do my best work when I’m most connected with my family and friends—and I am most connected when I’m deepest in my quest to help build tech that can make life a little better for everyone.
