Appointed as Unit Chief in 2023, I am directly responsible for the ongoing training of crime victim advocate programs across New York State and oversee the coordination of all agency state-wide outreach efforts. As a member of the agency leadership team, I also provide executive-level project management support and manage millions of dollars in federal and state funds.Emphasizing industry best practices and continuous improvement, my unit's efforts are shared with the OVS Advisory Council for quarterly direct program feedback and we facilitate a state-wide training needs assessment every three to five years. In addition, I supervise and lead staff through a strength-based approach, making sure their value to the organization is communicated regularly. I smile and have fun when I can. A positive attitude is crucial in the victim services industry. The work we do is important, and I am happy to share that I take pride representing our agency's training and outreach efforts. The Board of Education consists of nine elected members who are charged with setting the goals and establishing the policies to create a successful school district for our community’s children. Board members are unpaid volunteers serving three-year terms.Members of the board adopt the annual budget and make decisions on a range of educational concerns. They are not responsible for the day-to-day operations of Schodack’s schools. Parents are encouraged to contact the building principal or appropriate administrator to address specific school concerns.
