- As one of two NAVSEA Headquarters Message Distribution System (NHMDS) Administrators, I monitor and maintain the 23 servers that ensure the delivery of all message traffic for NAVSEA Headquarters and all of its tenant commands. - I am responsible for ensuring the systems are scanned weekly and patched accordingly by using the Gold Disk and Retina Scan programs.-I organize and archive approximately 7000 naval messages weekly which allows for a more efficient process of search and recovery. - I have taken it upon myself to perform a majority of the administrative tasks that are required by the system administrators such as creating and submitting the system change request forms, creating and maintaining the daily log of the system, producing and submitting the daily morning operational status report, performing and recording the weekly system backups as well as any other tasks that are assigned to me.- I am on call 24/7 in case there is a system outage that requires after hours work. I also complete any trouble ticket requests that are received from the NAVSEA Message Center.

Central Office of Records (COR) Manager for Electronic Keying Material System (EKMS)Supervised 17 COR managers with providing over 650 military units and civilian EKM S accounts around the world with support to sustain COMSEC accountability throughout all Naval accounts and having them reconciled within a 2 year period finishing 6 months ahead of schedule.Accounted for over 40,000 Communications Security (COMSEC) items for more than 40 COMSEC accounts.Service Authority ensuring all National Security Agency (NSA) doctrine and Naval Policies were adhered to; reducing EKMS insecurities by 40%.

Coordinated and corrected thousands of trouble calls and managed over 1500 computer casualties, saving the command $50,000 in replacement parts.Maintained and updated all patches, virus definitions and backups for Windows based Unclassified and Classified Networks along with one UNIX server.Instrumental in the first ever implementation, integration and testing of the Fire Scout Vertical Takeoff Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with shipboard network operations.Refreshed the ship's network at no cost to the command by using excess computers from other commands.Attention to detail during two comprehensive communication assessments, two communication exercises, four unit level training assessment sustainment inspections, and a Board of Inspection and Survey which lead to an overall communication score of 85%.

Increased connectivity from 90% to 96% making an immediate and lasting impact on the operation.Hooked up 100 Standard Army Management Information System computers and Very Small Aperture Terminal Systems to the pre-established network infrastructure through the Department of Information Management.Ran, planned, and implemented a fault tolerant and redundant network infrastructure that resulted in 98% up time connectivity.Reduced customer wait times by 48 hours and the time to order repair parts by 50% by implementing a Virtual Local Area Network for a Combined Joint Operation Area-wide network.As a member of a five man team, maintained equipment inventory valued of 3 million dollars.Traveled to the dangerous Kandahar Province of southern Afghanistan to conduct equipment repairs.

Demonstrated superior technical skills by maintaining 284 email accounts, 65 workstations, and 5 servers ensuring the latest patches and antivirus definitions were implemented.Completed over 250 trouble calls as the go to expert for all computer problems.Overhauled the Media Library and Audit Program making it easier, faster, and more reliable to conduct saves and restores in the event of an emergency. Directly managed and supervised a 24/7 watch team of 3 personnel responsible for monitoring and performing initial circuitry isolation on 6 classified nodes, 1 unclassified node, 2 Defense Messaging System circuits, 1 Automatic Digital Network (AUTODIN/ADNS) message circuit, and 3 tactical voice circuits leading to 100% communications readiness for U.S. and Korean Navy units through Korean AOR.
