Jonathan Blakely is an Executive Producer of Unscripted Development at ABC News Studios, which produces and commissions a wide range of exciting original content, including specials, non-fiction series, and documentaries across Disney platforms like ABC Network, Hulu, and Disney+.Previously, Blakely launched and Executive Produced the documentary streaming program 60 Minutes+ on Paramount+, a spinoff of the legendary 60 Minutes broadcast on CBS. 32 years-old at the time, Blakely was the youngest and first black person to serve as Executive Producer of a 60 Minutes franchise. For 60 Minutes+, he oversaw a variety of longform stories – including a profile of reggaeton superstar J Balvin, the first interview with the infamous “QAnon Shaman” in the wake of the Capitol Riots, and an investigation into the controversial practice known as race-norming in the NFL.Before 60 Minutes+, Blakely held a number of senior management and production roles at CBS News during his decade-plus career there, which included stints at CBS This Morning, The CBS Evening News, and CBSN – where he produced stories from across the country and the world, including India and Pakistan. A native of Atlanta, GA, Blakely now lives in Jersey City, NJ with his French Bulldog, Bruce.
