Growing up in the Adirondack Mountains in New York State, the outdoors and experiential education shaped the direction of my life. Whether working as a swim instructor, camp director, non-profit CEO, supporting and empowering children and adolescents through their own accomplishments and growth has enriched my life in ways I could have never expected. For over 25 years I have had the great privilege of working with Paul Newman's SeriousFun Children's Network Camps, first as a camp counselor where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of the camp experience for children with serious medical conditions. A week at camp not only changed their perspective for that week, but helped them change the perception of what was possible in every day of their lives. I went onto work at three different SeriousFun Camps--in Connecticut, Ireland, and California--until having the honor in 2016 of being appointed as the CEO of SeriousFun Children's Network, allowing me to be involved with the 30 camps and programs all over the world. In my position I incorporate the skills I've learned throughout the years to help lead our organization:◈ program design and expansion ◈ strategic planning/leadership ◈ board management ◈ fundraising ◈ public speaking and relationship management ◈ partnership building ◈ organization management and support ◈ budgeting and financial oversight ◈ training and team building ◈ and so much more!
