- Work alongside Head Brewer to effectively maintain a clean and safe working environment while working with harsh chemicals and noxious gases- Perform all steps of brewing 10bbl batches from mill-in to yeast pitch in an entirely manual brew house- Manage cleaning and sanitization of 30bbl fermenters, kegs, and brew house on a daily basis- Execute sanitary beer transfers from fermenters to bright tanks, followed by fining and carbonating- Consistently and efficiently package beer in cans using a two head Wild Goose canning line and in kegs- Maintain inventories of all brewery raw materials and conduct daily operation of fork lift and pallet jack- Worked 12-14 hour days to complete tasks such as triple brew days and extensive canning sessions- Take part in recipe formulation, naming and beer descriptors, as well as designing of company merchandise- Perform yeast cell counts and determine viability under a microscope- Responsible for all stages of yeast collection and management under completely sanitary conditions- Set-up and run beer tastings, events, beer festivals- Perform sales calls at bars, liquor stores, and restaurants- Worked in a team of two to produce 1,600+ barrels of beer while brewing 180+ batches throughout the year- Create recipes and carry out test batches to scale up for commercial use
