Leading an engineering team developing a our Data Science Safe Haven Product built on Hadoop and enabling Data Scientist to with Analytics tools like R, Python, H2O, and Tableau for Visualization. This team is responsible for architecting, engineering, and supporting this fast growing new product offering.

Responsible for leading the implementation of clients into Acxiom's Audience Operating System(aos.acxiom.com). This team is responsible for client implementations including (onboarding, configuration, training, and turnover to production).

Product Delivery:Lead multiple teams focused on delivery of Acxiom Products and Technology. These teams include 45+ associates in multiple different roles like Project Manager, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Developer, and Architect. These teams range from delivering on Acxiom’s breakthrough product in AOS(Audience Operating System) to delivering and supporting 14 mid-tier database solutions for clients. Responsibilities of these teams include Operationalizing the Product, Production Support, Solution Architecture for client customization, Research of Issues, Problem Solving for solutions.AOS Delivery TeamDelivering on Acxiom’s breakthrough technology in AOS. Responsible for onboarding data into the product, supporting client marketing needs within the solution and building the connections between client data and premium publishers/DSP’s. Also responsible for teams building Big Data Solutions using Hadoop to help our clients better manage their vast amounts of data and build the connections they are looking for.MarketEdge Delivery TeamResponsible for team delivering 14 mid-tier marketing database solutions on our MarketEdge platform for Retail, Insurance, Healthcare, and T&E companies.

Responsible for 60+ Solution developers supporting large marketing database solutions in the Media, T&E, Telco, Retail, Insurance, Health, and Hi-Tech industries. These teams were responsible for building database solutions around our core Acxiom products to create some of the largest and most sophisticated CRM solutions available. Responsibilities included development for new implementations, development and change requests for existing clients, production support, research, and solution support.

As the Development Team Leader, I’m was responsible for 17 database and solution developers that cover a wide range of technologies. My responsibilities include: day to day activities of all developers, developer performance and annual reviews, team staffing, leadership and guidance of other developers, training/associate development, working with the leadership of the 25+ accounts which we support.Along with being the Team Leader for a development team, I’m also a Senior Database Developers. As a Senior Database Developer a lot of my time goes to mentoring other developers as well as consulting with account teams on solution changes, designs, defining level of effort and complex development needs. I’ve worked on many large and complex projects using Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Perl, Shell Scripting on mostly Unix/Linux boxes. These solutions typically include loading large amounts of data to a data warehouse and developing SQL scripts to cleanse, aggregate, and apply business rules to create data marts which are used for reporting and selection. These databases usually range in size from 1-2 terabytes. When developing for these databases speed and efficiency is essential. I have a lot of experience with Oracle performance tuning, reading and interpreting explain plans, and optimizing/tuning SQL scripts.

Developed and maintained large Oracle Database Solutions. Wrote and optimized complex marketing database solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, Perl in an Unix/Linux environment.

Coding and implementing internal web sites using ASP, HTML, JavaScript, VBScript, and XML. Designed several internal sites including a site that allowed Tyson employees to find Doctors or Hospitals nearest their locations or based on other search criteria, also designed a site that allowed IT managers to view their budgets online and track certain expenses. Added enhancements to an Internal Imaging Application written in Visual Basic. This application used high-speed scanners to create electronic copies of documents, stored them on an NT server, and used a SQL Server database to track information on the documents. Also coded several applications using the VBA functionality of Access and Excel.
