In recent years, I’ve focused on harnessing the power of cloud-native architectures, AI-powered search systems, and MongoDB to build solutions that make a real-world impact. Whether it’s crafting serverless applications with AWS microservices, deploying AI-driven search algorithms, or working with large-scale MongoDB Atlas deployments, I thrive on solving complex problems with cutting-edge technology.Currently, my work is centered around building highly optimized and intelligent data indexing and search systems for the healthcare industry, using AWS Bedrock and MongoDB Lucene. These projects require a blend of AI, fuzzy matching, and handling complex multilingual datasets, ensuring that the right data is retrieved even with incomplete or misspelled queries. I’m also actively working on a medical intake web application for emergency services that utilizes Next.js, MongoDB, and serverless architecture to support critical on-site medical operations.I’m passionate about leveraging serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and S3 to create highly-scalable solutions, including a custom S3 file consolidation process to optimize data for QuickSight. From developing real-time search and data management systems to creating complex web applications with Next.js and React, my goal is to make an impact through efficient and resilient software.Of course, all of this rests on a foundation of diverse technical experience. Over the years, I've gained proficiency across multiple platforms, including iOS app development, PHP, and the LAMP stack. My time working on a Cray supercomputer (though it’s been a while!) and building highly-scalable backend solutions has given me a broad understanding of software architecture, both past and present. While my earlier work in native iOS apps and desktop software was instrumental in shaping my skills, my current focus is on cloud-native, serverless technologies and intelligent search.And yes, I'm a published author. But unless you're looking for a deep dive into outdated tech, I wouldn't recommend those books. Instead, let’s talk about how we can solve the next big challenge in cloud architecture, AI, or search technology.
