Senior Counsel, Product & Privacy
Current– Provide product advisory support and direction for applicable legal and regulatory requirements and mitigate risks impacting product, privacy, legal, IT, marketing, information security, etc.; – Draft and negotiate various data agreements, as well as other product related terms in commercial agreements;– Review, evaluate, investigate, and resolve product & privacy compliance issues and concerns to assure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards; – Work collaboratively with leadership teams to establish and implement policies and procedures addressing areas of significant legal, regulatory or other compliance risks; – Conduct audits, documentation reviews, and supplemental analysis in preparation for client audits and assist with the coordination of internal and external audit requests; – Lead building of a strategic and comprehensive product & privacy program which defines, develops, maintains and implements policies and processes which enable consistent, effective practices to minimize risk; – Ensure product & privacy policies and forms are up-to-date; – Serve as a liaison for between legal, product, and privacy contacts; – Work with applicable members of organizational leadership to establish governance for the product and privacy programs; – Develop and conduct training and awareness activities related to product and privacy; – Serve as a technical resource for privacy information management software; and,– Strategically address and escalate key compliance risks to the Chief Privacy Officer and Chief Legal Officer as needed.
