We have developed an approach to childhood education which channels the natural process of trial and error as a positive force, rather than tying error and failure to self-esteem. This focus on 'Creative Confidence' is the founding principle of Tinker Camp, and as we have grown we have seen synergy in the Make/DIY community. We have started developing a plan to create a city-wide program to enable children to make choices that may lead them to a career in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math, and to track their progress.
