Blake Swensrud has founded and built numerous telecom business since 1990. As Chairman and CEO of WorldCell, Inc, he has built businesses in the US, Japan, Brazil, Iceland, Korea, and Germany. He is Chairman of Viking Wireless (Iceland) a GSM mobile network operator, Device Cloud Networks, Travelcom, and of RPP Corp., a US-based manufacturing company. In 2008, Swensrud sold RSB Ltd. (a global multi-protocol cellular voice and data roaming business) to MACH S.a.r.l. In that same year, he sold WorldCell’s GEMS subsidiary to Vodafone Group, PLC. Following these exits, Blake spent 2 years on a global circumnavigation on his sailing yacht "Mustang." Blake has worked in the international telecommunications sector since 1984. In 1989, he founded International Technology Consultants, Inc. (“ITC”), a telecommunications market consultancy specializing in developing markets, which he sold to Analysis in 1998. Prior to his involvement in the commercial side of telecommunications, Mr. Swensrud spent 3 years working in the International Communications Policy Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (“CSIS”) in Washington, D.C.From 1996-2002, Mr. Swensrud was a member of the Board and President of International Televent, Inc. (“Intelevent”) and is a former President of the Capital area Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). Mr. Swensrud holds a Masters Degree in Science, Technology and Public Policy from George Washington University’s Elliot School of International Affairs. He completed his Bachelors Degree at Tufts University. He completed post-grad studies at MIT Sloan School's MBD program. He enjoys sailing, skiing and spending time wife Melissa and their three young sons.Specialties: Global Telecom Sector veteran of 35 years.
