About Blake Vaughn

I am a Dallas Baptist University graduate, former Navy officer, and small business owner who currently serves as the Deputy Mayor Pro Tem for North Richland Hills, Texas. I am a husband and proud father of three wonderful children. My priorities are to ensure that the North Richland Hills Police Department is properly funded and that our schools are secure. As a small business owner, I also understand how important it is to live within a budget. To keep taxes low, I will advocate for the efficient use of tax dollars and will encourage lower costs whenever possible. In the past few years, I have founded and managed multiple small business as well as spent hundreds of hours consulting small businesses owners in leadership, business operations and culture building. I have also had the pleasure of managing operations as a division officer in the United States Navy, and a general manager for Bank of America. Prior to that, I spent over six years in sales and hospitality while working on my business degree and MBA at Dallas Baptist University. The culmination of this experience has enabled me to develop a certain level of expertise in leading teams, developing relationships, and managing projects from conception to execution with aggressive performance results.I have been able to prioritize effectively, consistently achieving project completion while maintaining a professional manner under tight deadlines and emphasizing dynamic leadership skills which are crucial to navigating in a highly turbulent environment. Recognized for trustworthiness, reliability, and integrity as evidenced by the awarding of a United States Government Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance, I also possess strong verbal, writing, and presentation expertise, which enable me to build strong relationships with clients and vendors in order to ascertain and translate needs into action.Outside of work, I spend an good amount of time at the gym, create wonderful memories with my wife and three children, and continually develop investment skills for an expanding equity, venture, and real estate portfolio.
