My role revolved around using the Google Cloud Platform to demonstrate the capabilities of machine learning (ML) to potential customers.Responsibilities:- Trained, evaluated and deployed 3 ML models that addressed customer-requested image classification and video object tracking tasks using Vertex AI’s AutoML service.- Leveraged 5 foundational model APIs from the Model Garden to demonstrate general ML use cases to customers, including image captioning & VQA, vector embedding search, video feature analyses and live stream occupancy analytics.- Built, deployed and maintained 5 Django web applications through App Engine to provide interfaces for customers to interact with our customised and Google’s pre-trained ML models.Key Achievement:Developed a backend system that automated the processing and retrieval of video annotations from Google’s open-source Video Intelligence API Visualiser, greatly simplifying the UX. Received subsequent praise from supervisor for delivering the most impactful demo that showcased video ML capabilities among customers.
