Head of fixed income asset management for investment and pension funds reporting to the Managing Director of the Madrid office and later to the European Headquarters in London. Responsible for hedging interest rate risk through derivatives. Responsible for the organisation of the Fixed Income Investments Committee (fortnightly) and preparation of management reports. Monitored the macroeconomic variables of the leading OECD countries. Organized courses and conferences for the sales network and agents of the Bank. Dealt with numerous banks and brokers in Spain and London. Notable achievements included:- Reaching portfolio return and risk targets and out-performing the relevant benchmarks for the managed funds and portfolios.- Reporting to the European Director of Management in London.- Member of the International Asset Management Committee, attending the quarterly Investments Committee in London.
