Our aims are to:• Promote the third sector and the importance of volunteering to the City• Support the development of new groups and charities• Bring charities and organisations together to share information and good practice• Provide support services which help groups and charities to improve their work• Enable groups and charities to have a voice on issues of common concernThe services offered by Hull CVS include:• Advice & guidance on setting up a charity• Governance & Constitutional healthchecks and advice• Volunteer recruitment & management• Funding searches & application support• Training• HR advice & support• Community Accountancy & Payroll services• Grants Administration• Room Hire & Office Accommodation• Bid Writing & Tender Support• Consultancy ServicesHull CVS also directly delivers a range of local authority contracts and grant funded projects to support Hull’s local communities.Hull CVS is increasingly diversifying in to new areas of opportunity to generate revenue to support the delivery of our core aims:Meeting New Horizons (MNH) - Founded in 2011, MNH was established as a subsidiary arm aimed at utilising the parent company’s 30 plus years’ experience of delivering community projects in Hull, and extending this benefit across the Yorkshire and Humber region. Centre 88 – In 2012 Hull CVS merged with this local charitable resource centre. This merger enabled more efficient management and a greater offer of affordable office accommodation and start up facilities to local charities and community groups.Rainbow Nursery - In August 2012 Hull CVS acquired Rainbow Nursery (Hull) Ltd which provides year round childcare for up to 49 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.Rainbow Pre-School - In November 2017 Hull CVS opened a second setting of its childcare provision, providing term time childcare for up to 36 children aged 3 to 5 years.
