WoMena is a young, non-governmental organisation working with implementation of reproductive health solutions in developing contexts focusing primarily on menstrual management, family planning, gender and reproductive health care. The aim is to ensure that reproductive health research is systematically applied and that evidence-based, effective, reproductive health technologies and innovative solutions are explored and supported. My tasks as business developer within the inter-disciplinary team of volunteers included: • developing the business plan, • establishing and founding the start-up as a Danish association, • consulting the team on any business related matters that helps the organisation grow and use its whole potential. • giving recommendations for external communication and branding the association on an international level.

The UNDP internship program offers a small group of outstanding graduate-level students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UNDP's work. During six months I did an internship in the "Interagency Task Team on Sustainable Procurement in the Health Sector", where my tasks were among others, to:• communicate with stakeholders from the academic, scientific, and third-sector community,• support internal communication between UN agencies, as well as with external parties,• communicate findings and facilitate knowledge dissemination and exchange among the various interested parties (public authorities, NGOs, international companies),• organize monthly meetings and workshops,• help the procurement department with revising of relevant data,• conduct research on sustainable initiatives related to the health sector.
