These reduced our marketing expenses while providing a boost to our partner’s marketing efforts and provided aligned messaging across the community.• Built relationships with the tourism business community, ensuring marketing best practices are met and marketing issues are solved• Managed the Visitor Services team and the operation of the Abbotsford Visitor Centre• Designed and managed the Sport & Event Support Program for event organizers and local sport organizations, which was crucial in selling the community for prospective events, as well as enhancing the experience of local events including the Abbotsford Airshow, Abbotsford Tulip Festival and over 60 local sporting events around the community • Led event bidding initiatives with local sport organizations and other stakeholders, including Hockey Canada’s Telus Cup, CSSHL Championships, and National Volleyball Championships.• Sought and implemented new channels for data collection within the community.
