Worked with Wellstar’s physician champions, operational leaders and stakeholders, IT team, project leadership and Epic Systems implementation services team to plan, design, build, implement, optimize, and support Epic’s full suite of Inpatient clinical and ancillary applications across five unique hospitals, with 1,000+ beds.

Provided leadership, vision, and oversight for complex enterprise IT projects, with a focus on clinical application implementation and optimization throughout Northeast Georgia Health System’s ambulatory care settings. Led planning, design, implementation, and support of Allscripts Enterprise Practice Management System; scope of 48 sites and 1,000+ users.

Led team responsible for full cycle Epic HIM implementations in design, build, validation, and integration in a multi-hospital environment. Managed the planning, design, implementation, go-live, and ongoing support of Community Connect implementations from a HIS perspective. Provided leadership for selection and conversion of systems, enhancements of applications, and ongoing maintenance of all HIS and HIS-related applications. Provided direction and support for all technologies necessary to enable HIS to assist in improving Health Information Management efficiencies and to provide quality services to customers. Managed team that served as first-line of support for Chart Management, Chart Completion, Release of Information, Dictation and Transcription, Data and Systems Management, Identity, and Imaging (ChartMaxx). Acted as a stakeholder and sponsor for EpicCare Link phase II planning (Order and Referral Functionality); assisted in defining vision and scope with project manager, project sponsor, operational stakeholders, community physicians, and Epic Systems implementation services team. Engaged with representative group of community physicians to develop plan for improving patient information sharing, expand use of EpicCare Link, and replace organization-wide faxing employing a Health Information Exchange (HIE) solution.

Led and directed implementation, marketing, and business expansion of a secure, web-based electronic health record system (EpicCare Link) that required high level of functional integration and multi-functional resources. Coordinated, motivated, and managed project team, operational stakeholders, physician leadership, and community practice partners to deliver successful implementation; project instrumental in enhancing community physician relationships. Planned and managed all activities associated with support and optimization of EpicCare Link. Responsible for developing and managing client relations with community-based physicians and their practice managers. Worked across various departments within CHOA to solve complex operational, support, and optimization issues.
