Blane Counsil currently works as a Sales Manager for Commercial Fence and Powder Coating, a commercial construction company, specializing in fencing construction, custom fabrication, and powder coating. His previous roles were working as a onboarding project manager for nokking Inc, a recommerce company, project manager for Fathom5, a software and industrial technology company, working at the intersection between A.I. and grease on operational technology projects. He has also worked as an Agricultural Science Instructor for Livingston I.S.D. as well as the Academy Coordinator for Livingston I.S.D. He is a member of Sul Ross Lodge #1300 in College Station, Texas. He is a captain on the Livestock Committee at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He also volunteers with the Xtreme Seats and Backstage Committee at Rodeo Austin. He serves on the Board of Directors for Sul Ross Capital Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.Blane Counsil was raised on his family's cattle ranch in Madisonville, Texas. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics and furthered his education by receiving a Masters in Public Service Administration, where he focused on cyber security. He also completed a Certification in Homeland Security, Certification in Leadership, and Certification in International Trade in Agriculture. While at Texas A&M he participated in the Corps of Cadets where he served at the General O.R. Simpson Honor Society Commander, 3rd Brigade Scholastics Officer, and Parson's Mounted Cavalry Leather Officer. In addition to his time spent in the Corps of Cadets, he also worked for Texas A&M Agricultural Economics Department as an undergraduate research assistant and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension as a graduate research assistant. He interned for the Texas A&M System office in Washington, D.C. and also for Congressman John Carter (TX-31) in Washington, D.C.
